My company is likely splitting into two separate companies. Has anyone been through this experience and what advice would you offer?

I’ve been through a merger, but not a split. Although I’m sure some things are the same. Make sure you are listening and watching, look for any signs of ‘downsizing’ or leadership changes that will impact you. There can be good opportunities that pop up, consider them as they do.

Thank you for sharing your perspective

My mood has been fluctuating so much lately. Some days (yesterday) I wake up feeling invincible and some days (today) want to hide myself the rest of the world and feel like nothing will ever get better. I’m trying to push myself to make plans with other ppl and am really self-conscious about it cuz I don’t want ppl to see me in low spirit.. any ideas on how to fix that?

I will possibly be getting a machinist role through some contacts, and I have no experience in the field and I’m wondering what I could expect to make, when I look up average salaries for a machinist position I see around 65k but that seems too good for my age and experience so I’m wondering what some others in the trade on here are making
