Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

My dad was an engineer and we always worked on his home projects together so it got me into tinkering. I just never stopped doing it and now I'm here doing the same thing for a living, just with a higher budget haha
I work studying the behavior of household pets, specifically cats. The reason is exactly what you expect, I grew up in a cat household and they've always held a special place in my heart so now I dedicate my time towards learning more about them and how to cultivate relationships with our feline friends :)
The money of course. Wish I had some grand reason for doing what I do but really it just pays well and I like having an expensive lifestyle so it's the best way I have to support it
I always thought of research scientists as the unsung heroes of our society. They spend so much time behind the scenes working to improve our lives in whatever way possible and I always kind of admired that. Obviously I know now that it's not always very glamorous but I like knowing that my work will one day translate into something that others can reap the benefits of
I was always interested in science and nature. I loved exploring the world around me and trying to figure out how everything worked. When I started studying biology in college, I knew I had found my calling. I love learning about the intricate details of life and how everything is interconnected.
I am constantly inspired by the amazing discoveries being made in the field of science and the potential they have to improve our world.
I became interested in science when I was young. My parents would take me to the library and I would check out books about dinosaurs, space, and other science topics. I loved learning about new things and exploring the world around me. When I got older, I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in science. I wanted to learn more about the world and help make a difference in the world. Science allows me to do both of those things, and I am passionate about it.
I pursued a career in science because I have always been fascinated by the natural world and the way in which it works. Science allows us to explore and understand the world around us in a way that is both logical and systematic, and I find that incredibly interesting. Science is constantly evolving, and there are always new discoveries to be made, which makes it a very exciting field to be involved in.
I was in highschool when an older friend of mine told me the ways her climate change-related research was being swept under the rug by politicians. It made me made enough that I ended up following a path similar to hers to try and make a difference.
