I wouldn’t automatically just change your hair color, there may be other employers who are ok with it. I’d go for the interview, and if it goes well, you can always bring up the fact that you value individual expression but want to make sure you are balancing that with company policy and image. You can ask if they have a policy specific to hair color, and also mention your willingness to follow it. I’d just make sure your hair is very neat and professional looking for the interviews.
You shouldn’t change yourself for any job- you’ll end up unhappy. Find a workplace who appreciates you, and doesn’t judge. ☺️👌🏻
I typically reject candidates from the beginning if people come in either non traditional hair colors. But there are many people who don’t mind. You just have to find the right place to work for.
Most employers look at weird hair color as someone who isn’t very serious. Not all, but most. I would definitely go to normal and discuss a change once you are hired. It’s the professional thing to do.
I had pink hair and i just shaved it all of in fear of not getting hired
I would try to go in advance and see what other employees look like. Some places are definitely less strict with things like hair color and tattoos - and cater to a younger crowd that has the same values of self expression.
I wouldn’t change your hair colour! They can’t discriminate
Be who you are!!
Some jobs will require you to have natural hair color, because it shows professionalism. And some don't really care, before you decide to dye your hair or not, speak to your new boss about it, he or she will probably want your appearance to be professional or not, so it just depends on your boss's response.
