Coconut oil is a dry oil and slightly comedogenic and can actually make dry skin drier. I have found the most benefits from using an oil cleanser first, to keep my skin moisturized from the start. Using a hydrosol spray prior to an oil- or butter-based moisturizer also helps lock in moisture.
Coconut oil on the face is a big no-no from what my derm told me. I use Fresh Soy Face cleanser and i absolutely love it. It’s a big bottle and last almost two years (it’s like $69). For winter, Cerave moisturizing cream has been very effective on my skin.

Belief makes a few great moisturizers, and one of my favorite cleansers is a Greek Yogurt one by Korres. If your skin gets super dry, Hyaluronic Acid is an ingredient that helps retain moisture. I personally like 111Skin, but there are many other options out there. Consider a trip to Sephora, but make sure you're talking to an employee and not a vendor.
