Haven’t found great ones but had Dolo recently and they were ok. If you like dumplings in general, I recommend Lao Peng you. So good!
The frozen soup dumplings from Trader Joe’s are really good!
agreed !
Honestly, no. Lol :/ and I thought Lao Peng You was very overrated and one note
The answer is no. There isn’t any good XLB in chicago. Ed’s potsticker used to be ok but then they plummeted in quality.
Lao Sze Chuan
😂
I have been to almost every place in Chicago that offers soup dumplings - have not been any place I would call amazing (esp compared to some places I’ve been to in NYC, SF or Seattle). A few that are better than the others here in Chicago; Ming Hin, dumpling house (hit or miss dependent on the day :)), northern taste (not typical looking soup dumplings).
Hing Kee were the best I've had in Chicago.
Potsticker House weren't too far off the mark
