Need advice regarding BGV at BlackRock.

I mentioned BNY Mellon on my resume from Nov 2019 onwards, but from 2019–2021 I was technically on 3rd party payroll and deputed to BNY. Later I became a full-time BNY employee. This got flagged during BGV. I clarified everything and shared documents, and they replied “Thank you for the clarification.” No update since then. Has anyone faced something similar? Should I be worried?

Why would you ever want to rollover your 401K into an IRA? It seems like doing so would essentially prevent you from successfully being able to do a IRA to Backdoor Roth IRA conversion due to the pro-rata rule. Am I missing something? Wouldn’t you always want to just rollover your old 401Ks to your new 401K?

$530k HHI, $250k cash on hand, $1.2M investments/retirement. Plan to buy $800-900k house as our first home, but thinking of the best approach given rates today. My thinking is that we (i) put $200k+ down and get a 5/1 ARM. (ii) put everything we save moving forward toward paying down the principal (after maximizing retirement accounts). Should be able to do $100k per year. (iii) If rates go down below 4.5ish % for 15 year fixed, refinance and stop aggressive payment. Thoughts on this approach?

compared with a role at a smaller mga, higher salary (around 30%) more , more visibility career wise and some great employee benefits , management seem to be supportive and low staff turnover
