Tenneco : Package 42 LPA and Location : Pune (Hybrid) with occasional office visit.
Genesys International : Package 40 LPA and Location : Remote

Advice on pivoting from staff augmentation as Voip SME/architect to DevOps and software? Wanting to transition from in person to remote/async work

Curious how many of you live outside of Austin but commute to work within the city? Or if you’re fully remote.

(1/2) I started a new job less than a month ago at a large firm with a significant pay increase. I work remotely- which is a special arrangement. They paid for my travel to their headquarters for in-person training. After interacting with my manager and some of the attorneys, I feel like I made a mistake. Manager is demeaning and rude. A bunch of the attorneys dropped not so subtle hints that people who work from home are causing all kinds of problems. I don’t know what to do.

HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? I have 15 years within the organization, left for 10 months to be remote during the pandemic while sorting out childcare as immunocompromised family helped.
