This win is being described as the, ‘big tabacco’ moment. This settlement- meta found guilty of harming children with a 375m dollar settlement in New Mexico will be a game changer for the tech industry. This case is now precedent for the following pending lawsuits against meta, tiktok, etc

It will be very interesting to see how this all pans out. It is very obvious that meta knew their algorithms was hurting kids per the internal reports. I know they will all appeal but I think it’s going to be a rough ride for them. Finally!
I saw this but I don’t think this change anything. Ultimately, it’s up to the parents to monitor what their kids are doing online. Corporations are going to do whatever it takes to make money. We have to look out for ourselves.
