Not gonna lie, the weirdest part of adult life is realizing nobody actually has it fully figured out.

When you’re younger, you think adults know exactly what they’re doing, stable career, clear plan, confident decisions. Then you grow up, start working, and realize most people are just trying their best, learning as they go, and hoping this job/life choice works out.
Its more like “okay… let’s see what happens.”

When did that hit you for the first time?

That's so true, you get to a certain age and you realize that everyone else is also just improvising and figuring things out as they come. It may have always been that way and we never noticed. I also think it's partly because things were more stable years ago. The economy always had ups and downs, of course, but when I was a kid people still seemed to believe in the American dream.

So true. The older you get, the more you realize everyone’s just figuring it out as they go.

Honestly when I brought my daughter home from the hospital. The first three days after she was born we had nurses popping in every two hours helping with everything from feeding to diaper changes. Then you're discharged and it's like....wait, what? I'm not responsible enough for this. And then you get home and start figuring it out. It's terrifying and empowering.

That’s such a good way to describe it. Terrifying and empowering at the same time.

Honestly, that realization hits hard once you start making your own big decisions and notice everyone else is improvising too. It’s kind of scary at first, but also freeing, because it means you don’t need a perfect plan to move forward. Most people are just figuring it out one step at a time.

Exactly. Realizing nobody has it all figured out is weirdly freeing.

I think it’s actually hitting me now. I thought with a certain title and salary, I would’ve happy and my life would smooth out. That’s not the case. I actually feel like I don’t even have time to dedicate to getting my life in order. I realized it’s about giving myself grace and not expecting for every moment of my life to be meticulously and perfectly planned.

feel this. Sometimes giving yourself grace is the hardest but most important part.

Hi Fishes/Seniors,
This will be the first time I will be in tax slab.
I have few queries can anyone please help me regarding this.
In ELSS mutual the total we can save save tax is 1.5lakh. Do we need to invest yearly 1.5 lakh yearly to save tax? I am planning to have a Sip of 5000 monthly for 3 years. So total money invested in 3 years will be around 60000 * 3 = 180000.
Will that be sufficient to save tax or Do I need to have a sip of 12000 per month to save tax.
