We’re in a recession don’t expect stellar increase/bonuses. There is a lot of uncertainties to the job market this year.
True
For my company, the annual bonus is primarily based on your sector or company profitability as whole, not individual reviews.
Do you know what the criteria is for bonuses in your company? How transparent are they in how they determine the bonuses
Ours are both company results and individual performance. First there is a “pool” allocated to each “group” based on company performance and that group leadership is supposed to allocate based on individual performance. I’ve seen people get no bonus in good years because of poor performance and individuals get at least something in bad years as high performers.
Very interesting
Flat rates are a fairly common. In some ways they are better.
At EY it's generally a set % of your annual pay. The % is based on performance scale of good, better, best. And the % will change every year depending on the performance of the company as a whole. But sometimes leadership will only allow X number of best reviews. Pretty silly but that not uncommon either.
