Rising Star
SM at PwC is kind of like a heavy Manager or junior SM at EY or Deloitte. They bifurcated the Director role back in 2017 or 2018, so SM at PwC isn’t a pre-PPMD role.
The jump from SM to Director is one of the hardest here to make I feel. I’ve seen people stuck at SM for years.
Not the same. Director at PWC = SM at Deloitte
This app would have 1/3 the number of posts if it weren't for clueless Deloitte people thinking that their terms are a direct one for one at other firms.
A 30 second google would have explained that the levels aren't equivalent
I have seen folks with mere 10 year experience go from staff to partner at EY. It’s a joke!
I’m a 2019 ex-ey class. If I had stayed I could’ve been up for SM. If you’re good and get lucky with your clients and teams, a well timed early promotion is all it takes. It’s all +- 1 year. There’s potential for me this year at CFGI but more likely next year to adjust for the learning transition from audit to advisory
2021 - make SA
2023 - make Manager
2026 - make Senior Manager
Taking advantage of a red hot market when they joined the industry.
Note, we have a Director level after Senior Manager. And then Principal or Managing Director after that.
