Saudi and the UAE have been intercepting virtually everything coming from Iran.
Yet the US consulate/embassy gets hit in both countries on the same day. Now the US base in Qatar has also been hit. All this and no casualties or injuries.
This might be wishful thinking but are they getting a free hit on these sites to save face before having a ceasefire?

Don’t drink the kool aid and the big PR campaign. They are intercepting for now but many things can happen once things escalate. Local authorities will always try to minimize and reassure - that’s in their interest. But the reality is much different.

People might have said the same for London and Berlin post WW2 and those are pretty thriving still. The only problem i feel with Dubai is nobody belongs to the city so it’s an impulse to run (ultimately you are citizen of some another country as UAE will never take your responsibility in crisis)

That’s what I initially thought until I saw the videos - just imagine going about your day shopping in a souk and then you hear a ginormous bang a few blocks away from you.
Doesn’t matter whether it hit civilians or not, no one wants to live like this. This isn’t Iraq or Afghanistan to expect something like this to happen.
