My theory is that pressure will follow me anywhere, so I shouldn't worry too much about trying to escape it. All I can do is deal with it as it comes. You're right that if you're performing well, things feel right, and your location may not matter much. Making a move to get away from pressure could work in some circumstances, but I wouldn't count on it.

Somewhat agree. There's a great deal of satisfaction that comes with doing your job well, sure. But on the flip side, no amount of productivity or personal satisfaction will offset working in a toxic environment with unreasonable expectations. Even the hardest working, most brilliant people can get ground down by that.
