Got my F1 visa rejected after planning to pursue masters for a year, securing admits from good schools and completing my notice period. Now I am thinking about applying for a new job but don't know where to apply, how to start, which will take months to complete and all this is giving me anxiety as I'm on career break by default.
Since I'm too late to this, any guidance on what to do or references would be appreciated. Got 3 YoE in Java, spring, Microservices and big data. Can join immediately.
Useful. It’s like 2 1/2 days and definitely worth taking if free.
Moderately useful from an execution perspective. If you are an experienced change management person you won’t learn much new, but if you are trying to “break in” to OCM it’s the only cert most employers have heard of. Good for you getting it paid for! I’ve been trying to get an employer to do that for 10 years.

Good to have as purely foundational knowledge—and clients like to see you have it as an extra qualification for you doing the work in their eyes. Takes years of actual work experience to consider yourself a skilled change practitioner though—with or without the certification.
Anyone know if D will pay for this?
Former D here. Typically no, but I saw one strategy work: Get your current client to tell your account lead that they will require it for all their internal and external change resources after a certain date. Be sure they also include how much they LOVE you and would rather keep you than swap out for someone else. A little risky, but as I said I’ve seen it work there at least once.
Thanks everyone!
