Coach
I think all the people who make it to the c-suite have had to navigate politics, so at all companies you end up with those who survived the battle and now just battle each other. That’s the only explanation I can think of. All the companies I’ve been at the executive team has had a lot of infighting but they pretend to get along in front of everyone.
The pretending is wild to me. I tell my team straight what’s happened/ing so they can… armer/defend themselves… I hate doing this, but I want help them grow not have to protect them (if nothing else then for the fact I don’t want high turnover on my team)
Too general. Examples
I think this is normal because we are all human and have different working styles, preferences and goals. It's just normal office politics. Work out what makes people tick and flex your style accordingly. Makes me laugh that "toxic" is used for everything these days.
