In a corporate/line function or in a consulting/project based role?
Corporate and Audit should have up and downs according to the yearly cycle,
Consulting and project work is always busy,
When you have the project, you are busy working on the project, when you are not on a project, you are busy getting a project
I've never seen a busy season that lasts all year except in chronically mismanaged companies where the staff are not working efficiently
I don’t wait for anyone to give me permission to look after my well-being. I don’t compare myself to what others do or what’s considered acceptable. I know what’s right for me. I know my rights, my break times, and my boundaries and I stick to them. If I’m asked to go beyond that, I’ll raise it respectfully. I’ve learned that honouring my limits isn’t rebellion, it’s self-respect.
