Interviewed for a position and was confident I had it in the bag. It’s been a month with weekly follow ups from the Talent MGR telling me that I am one of the final candidates and to hang in there...

Currently interviewing for a nontechnical role (final round is getting scheduled rn) and I see there’s a new job posting for a different role that I might be more excited by, for the same/associated team. What do I do?? Email my recruiter saying I want to be considered? Apply? How does going for two roles work? The referral from the original job I’m interviewing for has expired fwiw.

I’m new to the cybersecurity industry, professionally speaking (I did/do a lot for family and close friends). I’ve completed a boot camp, which I regret doing. I have certifications for companies such as Qualys and ISC2, but no CompTIA security+ yet. I tailor my resume to position descriptions. It’s been a month or so, without any offers.
