Recently sold my condo (not in NY) and did some minor repairs myself. I was frustrated by the fragmentation of info online. Is there a site that’s a good source of centralized info for minor (I.e regrouting kitchen tiles, etc) repairs and improvements?
Hi Chicago - just moved here from the UK (via 7 years in Germany) and looking to make some great new friends.
Moved to River North and into trivia nights, most sports, movies etc and would love to find some people open to adding a city newbie to the group!

Just talked to a doordash recruiter for analytics manager role which requires 6+ years work experience. They offered 108k base and 107k equity over 4 years. So that ~130k and it’s much less than what I make. The LinkedIn link says the range in Colorado is 115k-149k base. I live in a big city in Pacific Northwest which is not Seattle. Am I being low balled?
My company is looking to integrate slack for our creative team but they’re also trying to find software/digital template that will allow teams to submit creative requests. Any suggestions?
How many ultrasounds (by trimester) have you gotten during your pregnancy? I had 3 during first (a six week bc of previous MCs, 8 week, 12 week) 1 during second, and 2 during third.. wondering if that’s a lot.
My last working day is July 29th. In the Clearance app, 73% approval was completed. I also received approval from the Project Team in Clearance app. Only laptop and ID card submissions are pending. I want to get released on July 28th, a day earlier. Is this possible?
When is it seasonally appropriate to start wearing cashmere in the New York area? I’ve always seen cashmere as reserved for winter but I’m dying to wear this new sweater right now and it HAS been cold
If anyone is interested in taking a summer trip to Myrtle Beach from 7/29-8/5, I am renting out my timeshare with Marriott's OceanWatch Villas at Grande Dunes. This resort is right on the beach and offers many fun activities for the whole family! The two-bed, two-bath condo has a fully furnished kitchen and can fit up to 8 people. I am ideally looking for someone to rent it out for the entire week for about 3K total. Message me for more information!

Anyone ever had success using an offer as leverage to get what you want (i.e. a raise)? I have heard some just show you the door if you do this. Is there anyway to get what you want without leaving?
Does anyone know how is job security at Amadeus Labs? Considering pandemic and possible recession times.
The DOL was simply just a failed power grab by the Obama administration. They overreached in an attempt to assert power and control over our industry and diminish independence. All they really...

Did anyone apply for the recent CFTC labor and employment trial attorney posting? These things are a black hole so I thought maybe we could share status updates as they come.
For those who've filled out an OF-306: Is a citation for failing to update the address on my driver's license a "traffic fine" that can be omitted? If not, is it the type of conviction that could jeopardize a background check?

Can anyone explain how to calculate where you fall on the GS scale? I.e. is GS 11 for people who just graduated law school, GS-12 for those with 1/2 years experience, etc.
If interviewing with a number of different agencies and/or divisions within an agency, how do you handle multiple offers? Are you given time to think it over or is it akin to a clerkship where you are expected to accept on the spot? Acceptable to let the agency or division know you've made it to final rounds in another agency/division? I'm familiar with this in private sector but worry that letting agency/division 1 know I'm interviewing elsewhere would somehow look bad or less committed.

Assuming personal interest in each agency’s work is equal, any benefits or advantages to joining one of the three over the others: SEC, DOJ (antitrust, market integrity, etc.), or FTC?

Why doesn’t anyone post in this bowl?
Good morning. I am currently a senior associate in BugLaw, and I have applied to several trial attorney jobs in Chicago offices of federal agencies since the start of the pandemic. According to usajobs.gov, my applications to the DOJ and CFTC were “referred,” and my application to the SEC was received and my GS scale verified. But I haven’t received any updates on these applications in over a month. Does anyone here have any insights on these or on federal hiring generally? Thanks!
Can anyone confirm the salary for an SK-14 attorney at the SEC in DC? Their website says it’s around $130,000 but that doesn’t sound right since that’s just barely higher than the GS scale.
Does anyone know if USAOs make opportunistic hires/accept resumes when there is no open position link on the website?
I’ve worked as an appellate prosecutor for state government for almost 3 years, but I’m now looking to transition into a federal government agency. I have the research, writing, and even oral argument experience, but are there any other skills or topics I should highlight to be considered by an agency like the FTC or SEC?
