Any guidance on evaluation for GS-13/14 level attorney-adviser positions? Matching resume but credentials aren’t insane.

No idea what you mean by “credentials aren’t insane.” The requirements aren’t high, or your record isn’t strong, or…? Actually, clarification on what you consider “matching resume” would be good too.

Just talked to a doordash recruiter for analytics manager role which requires 6+ years work experience. They offered 108k base and 107k equity over 4 years. So that ~130k and it’s much less than what I make. The LinkedIn link says the range in Colorado is 115k-149k base. I live in a big city in Pacific Northwest which is not Seattle. Am I being low balled?

If anyone is interested in taking a summer trip to Myrtle Beach from 7/29-8/5, I am renting out my timeshare with Marriott's OceanWatch Villas at Grande Dunes. This resort is right on the beach and offers many fun activities for the whole family! The two-bed, two-bath condo has a fully furnished kitchen and can fit up to 8 people. I am ideally looking for someone to rent it out for the entire week for about 3K total. Message me for more information!

If interviewing with a number of different agencies and/or divisions within an agency, how do you handle multiple offers? Are you given time to think it over or is it akin to a clerkship where you are expected to accept on the spot? Acceptable to let the agency or division know you've made it to final rounds in another agency/division? I'm familiar with this in private sector but worry that letting agency/division 1 know I'm interviewing elsewhere would somehow look bad or less committed.

Good morning. I am currently a senior associate in BugLaw, and I have applied to several trial attorney jobs in Chicago offices of federal agencies since the start of the pandemic. According to usajobs.gov, my applications to the DOJ and CFTC were “referred,” and my application to the SEC was received and my GS scale verified. But I haven’t received any updates on these applications in over a month. Does anyone here have any insights on these or on federal hiring generally? Thanks!

Can anyone confirm the salary for an SK-14 attorney at the SEC in DC? Their website says it’s around $130,000 but that doesn’t sound right since that’s just barely higher than the GS scale.

I’ve worked as an appellate prosecutor for state government for almost 3 years, but I’m now looking to transition into a federal government agency.
