Planning some social events for lawyers in Austin - thinking about doing a Coffee & Chill type event on a Sunday morning in September - coffee, DJ, cold plunge. Thoughts? And how could we put a legal twist to it?

Who would want to hang out with other lawyers on a weekend?

Nobody worth networking with will attend this event. No offense at all. But if it was just to make friends for people kaybe not from the area, then maybe

Coffee and Chill events are goofy and reserved for transplants.

Oh I read your post so fast I didn’t even realize you had already suggested the cold plunge. Hahahahaha

Sounds like a good idea. I’d say no to the cold plunge. You also don’t need to add a legal element.

like

Personally, would never attend. This won’t be a good networking opportunity, so if this is just about making friends I’d much rather meet people via shared hobby (at a golf course, at the gym, pickup basketball, chess club, whatever your hobby is)

Hi All,can you please let me give me some idea about the following things:

1. what kind of technologies are used in Data Engineering projects in ANZ? Do they work with open source frameworks like Pandas, Pyspark etc. Or everything is done using their internal tools?

2. And is there any opportunity of internal project switch after 12-15 months if I want to work in some different tech stack?

3. How is the work-life balance and job security for people working in India office?

Thanks in advance.
