Hey Folks. I hope I am posting in the right space about this. Anyone knows the updated(2022) compensation range for QA Automation Engineers with 2 years experience?
A general range at Glassdoor has an average base pay at 110K/year shorturl.at/dhuIZ and I am looking for more sources. Cheers

If your billable requirement is 2000 do 2001 hours.
Yes. I was in Biglaw for 12 years, did 2400 first year, and between 2000-2100 in every other year (creditable, billables usually around 1950-2050). Was always told I had "great" hours. I knew others did more, but why seek out that position?
Do exactly as much as it takes to leave with a good reference n’a shoots your resume to get the next thing
I’d say at least your requirement, if not one or two hours over
My advice would be to stop fixating on hours. Figure out the skill set, experience and client exposure you need to acquire to be able to land a quality in house job with three years of experience if that is your goal.

Billable requirements. Do bonus one year if you're feeling frisky. Do good work and be on time with stuff for people. you'll be fine!
There is a thread in the biglaw bowl about being a “B Associate” that is on point for your inquiry.

I’d put some buffer over your hours. Shoot for like 25-50 more so it’s not as obvious.
Not doing crazy hours is fine, but it makes it more important that the hours you do are real value adds. For the sake of your reputation and future connections, I’d still be trying to make the most of what you do in your 2k hours (or whatever it is) to do good, thoughtful work, stay on top of process and status, take ownership and move things along etc. People remember when you go above and beyond for them - work on the weekend sometimes when the partner is in a jam, make it up by giving yourself a (perhaps secret if you’re WFH) day off/leaving at 3 when things aren’t crazy.
So what do you want?
