Wow yeah seems totally legit
Agree, those will get caught on the way in, not worth it at all. Just google for yuor contact lenses and check different sites- check your contacts on lenspricer.com put in the name it says on your contact lenses, they show live prices from online contact lens sellers, so just buy from the cheapest one. For prescription go to sams club, americas best or target. been doing this for 20 years.
Would not wear lenses purchased from a company that does not require a prescription. I'd like to keep my sight. Also, if you wear lenses, you need to get your eyes checked regularly.
OP- I think I’m tracking with you, it’s just your phrasing around Rx and prescriptions that is throwing people off.
That said, I as well would hesitate to go this route, simply because -health-
If we’re talking like, sweaters, sign me up lol, but I’m not inclined to take any unnecessary risks when it comes to personal healthcare.
Per your exact point, healthcare industry regulations differ internationally, and I personally at least don’t feel informed enough to be confident in choosing to go this route. U.S. regulations are enough of a headache to keep tabs on for me lol.
That makes no sense whatsoever, the prescription is exactly what makes corrective lenses -corrective- lol. Like without an Rx what are you even ordering? Magic lenses?
Lol I gotcha now. You meant no *current* Rx required.
And I have personally experienced the frustration around that one so I do get it, trying to get new glasses or lenses multiple times in previous years and somehow consistently managing to find myself being told my Rx had expired, like, yesterday 🙄😤
If I may offer my own pro-tip on this one, a recent discovery which has been AWESOME:
Warby Parker launched a virtual vision test app that has been a major solve for this exact scenario- highly recommend checking it out. For both glasses Rx and contacts Rx, and a discounted “bundle” offering as well.
Essentially, you enter some basic details, upload your most recent prescription, prop your phone up, and it has you do the traditional cover left/right and read off the letters.
It takes less than 15 minutes, and within 24 hours, assuming all checks out, you’re sent an updated (meaning current) Rx you can take anywhere. I think it’s like $15 for one or the other, $25 combined.
Costco is cheaper.
With no guarantee the lenses are authentic. I'll stick with Costco.
