What does your organization’s social recruiting effort look like? What is most successful about it?

Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)

Recommendations of companies with sales/account management roles that have decent work life balance?

I am currently a BDM and have been with my company for 3 years now. I love what I do but the hours are crazy and with the lack of structure I end up wearing a lot of different hats and am feeling extremely burnt out.

Anyone out there love their sales job and would recommend their company as a great place to work?

Been searching for an entry level HR coordianator or generalist position but haven't received a call back for 6 months. I come from Banking - years and years of Customer service, reporting, Employee Development, Researching cases, Treasury. I have been at the bank 17 years. I know some of this can transfer over. I don't know what to do as I know my resume is not getting through ATS or if it's just me. Any advice?

I have my MSHRM; which I got before I started working in HR, and a PHR but with this new HRM role I'm thinking of getting an HR Certification in Strategic Management. It is very costly. Has anyone taken any of these Certification programs? Is it worth it?

After a few years working as an account manager within the market research world, I’ve found myself in strategic partnerships. Any advice on how I can work with sales so they don’t feel like I’m stealing their leads? At the end of the day, our partners sometimes have a better solution for clients and instead losing revenue completely, we would at least be getting a cut by partnering with them.

Hi! I am about to go through a background check with finger prints (located in NY). I have an arrest with no charge that comes up when I do fingerprints. I have a document stating that I was not charged. Should I wait until it’s flagged (if it will be) or should I be proactive and once I submit my fingerprint, explain my story and attach the appropriate documents. I’m nervous because I was wrongly arrested for theft a few years back and this job is for a financial institution. TIA :)

How would you describe the difference between an Account Executive vs. Account Manager, if your company has both these roles.

Hi Everyone, I’m looking for advice. Right now I’m currently facing a hard decision. I’ve been at my work for 5 months as an HR assistant and have been given the opportunity to take on the Executive Assistant role. I’m in my early 20’s and still unsure what career path I want to take. I know I want to keep moving up and doing more but again, not sure where I want to be. I’d appreciate your thoughts and advice from your experiences along with pros/cons on either position. Anything would help!

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
