Ask yourself this - how loyal are corporations to their workers? You can use this as a guide for how loyal workers should be to corporations.
Oh, hell yes. After being laid off and not able to find work for close to a year, I will always be looking for the next best opportunity. Especially in this economy. I know it’s getting better (biopharma has gotten a lot better since last year) but there are still a ton of people being laid off or have been laid off that are currently looking for work. Competition is steep right now. Never stop looking. Never stop applying. Never stop interviewing. Always be networking.
Also different production requirements. Always look
Yes. Been at my job for 5 years and despite making my desired trajectory in the company clear, and getting the trainings for that path, AND positions for that path being opened over the last few years, my employer has kept me in the same place that I don’t want to be. I am a top employee(as my managers have told me themselves), and still my hours have been cut, my benefits just got changed so that I get less overall. If they want to fire me they can walk me out the door same day, but expect me to give them 2 week notice. Company loyalty is not a thing anymore, it’s all about how much you benefit the company and what they want FROM you. I work at REI, a very people forward company. If they are ok with all this, there is nothing to be loyal for in other companies. Take care of yourself first. Companies are only good to you as far as their bottom line goes.
Yep I also agree
Yes of course you should. We are just numbers and bodies to them
100% As they say "the best time to look for a job is while you have one"
Always look, watch and listen. Opportunity is everywhere, you just have to find it
Yes, been there done that
Why wouldn't you? No one should feel they need to remain loyal to any employer if they're not happy, no matter what the circumstances are.
Always keep an eye out. Always looking down at where your feet are means you miss the whole promise of what's around you.
Yes.
Absolutely. Life is full of possibilities and you should always be open to new experiences.
