Random Q dads… outdoor dining table. I’m considering two options that are almost identical. One has thin slats of composite faux wood on top. The other a flat stone top. The slats will drain but also space for stuff to get in between and for cups to fall over when toddlers sit them down. I’ve just never had a flat top outdoor table before. Any issues anyone has had?

Follow up. Bought this one at the current $1150 price a while ago. Awesome quality, comfortable, and the stone stays nice and cool. Easy to wipe up before eating since it doesn’t have grooves. Very happy with this.

Would avoid anything too heavy in case it needs to be moved. Would also invest in a heavy duty waterproof cover especially if it is out in open air (not under a covered patio)

I've had numerous kinds of outdoor tables over the last 30 years and the only one I found worth it, and still have, is one made by Polywood. It's a solid recycled plastic table with matching chairs and bench so I can seat 7 people.

Pros are it's super weatherproof, like I live in the northeast and never cover it year-round. I have a black table and there is zero fade after 5 years. Super easy to clean and dry. I literally take a hose and sponge and clean it off. It's a solid color all the way through, so if it gets scratched or dented it's still the same. The kids have banged toys against it and dropped glasses on it and still nothing.

The only con is that it is heavy, but that is a pro as well since I live in top of a hill and it gets very windy. Other tables I've had just flipped over and broke, but this one hasn't moved an inch.

I got one similar to this model but with a bench instead of two of the chairs.

Currently creating spend analysis and doing vendor onboarding work for my company. It’s becoming a little mundane after 3-4 years. This was my first job out of college and I don’t really know how I got into this path. Graduated in business management and marketing. I am super creative and feel like a need a job that allows me to showcase that, but not sure what. Wondering if anyone works in the business world but also mixes with the creative side.

NFW- I just had a good laugh. Earlier today I was on a video conference call reviewing a Private Label Agreement template with a larger company who wishes to brand label products we develop and manufacture. We came to a very one-sided provision and my sales VP stated “for this one, how can we just say ‘hell no’ ...nicely?” The other person on the call said we can replace the wording with just NFW (no f@$* way) and I said “I will have to add that to the defined terms section so it’s clear”
