Who would you want to include in your union? Which levels would be exempt? E-suite? G-suite? Directors aren't managers—or are yours? Who makes final decisions and who has to just live with them?

Thinking of going freelance in a few months because I have gone 3 years without a raise and my work-life balance is awful. A bit of a vent- I love being a producer, and producing certainly involves a certain level of expected stress, but it’s so hard being at the end of the agency process. It feels like so much is asked of us and we are so frequently set up to fail (time, money, or communication-wise), no matter how proactive we are in trying to mitigate these things. I feel these pressures and other departments’ understanding of production are getting worse with time.

How can I transition back to production? Been stuck in a glorified project manager role for 2 years. Previously I’ve worked as a producer on projects for google & airbnb. Advice on how to move back?
