Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance
Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte
What is the culture like, type of work and reputation of Capco in the Data & Analytics space?
I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.
I'll ask my ex colleagues too, but wanted to see if people here have any opinion or information on this too.
TIA

In my company, it makes the initial screening call a formality and practically guarantees being sent assessment as the first stage. But the benefits of a referral can play out in many ways beyond initial screening/formal processes. I also interview candidates, others interviewing are my peers and friends at work (manager/senior manager level) and will be aware. This can help because if you're a 'maybe' candidate in R1, this can give you the benefit of the doubt and get given a shot at R2 where you previously wouldve been failed. The people politics exist. You'll still need to pass properly of course in the end to get an offer. (We happen to interview in pairs, so two Yes's are needed)
I'd prefer not to but happy to answer any further Qs you might have
Referrals always have a much better chance of getting picked up. You have to do it organically though - think reach out via email to HR instead of just hitting the refer a friend button the portal.
Yes if they know the HM
Someone puts your resume into the portal, is as good as applying by yourself

Normally helps with getting the application reviewed by a human but not much help beyond that.

Yeah they hold a lot of weight, based on my experience anyways. In big 4 and both of my referrals were straight to interview stage within 2 weeks.
Happy to chat if you’re interested in big 4 consulting
