Relax
Relax; learn stuff; focus on future goals like MBA; go to the gym.
That’s what I’m doing! Lol filling the extra time and being grateful for it.
Give it a few months, usually in industry your first few months are pretty quiet and then things will pick up.
For now, focus on networking within the company, get good habits in place (workout routine, better eating, etc.), maybe take/audit a class or two (I’m sure you can get tuition reimbursement too)
Oh, and and also speak up to your manager/others to ask what are things you can work on to broaden your scope!
Where are you that you’re barely doing anything; and are they hiring? I exited consulting and am now working 12-16 hour days in industry.
Sounds cool, give it couple months it will pick up. My first 5 months so all is so was filler work and trainings. And then it went crazy overnight as soon as I got assigned on a huge transformation project.
Find a hobby. I picked up the sax 🎷 last year after a while
Haha I literally saw a different word too!!
Get a hobby, invest in yourself
Side hustle
Welcome to FS industry. I was you (bored AF) and decided to go Consulting, lol. It will not improve, you'll have meetings to decide what meetings to have.
Enjoy the silence or come ride the bull again if you still feel like it.
May I ask how many YOE have and what is your salary range?
Lol same!
This happened to me too and now it I am back at EY in FS
