Simply put,Queer Folks face more intolerance between groups than from outsiders. Example from my life George (not his real name) has XY chromosomes and is sexually attracted to females. George however identifies as a female and is transitioning. Now a direct quote from a gay man. "So you are going to do men now? " George" I am not and will never be attracted to men" "Dude, you are confused" I AM NOT A DUDE That interaction sadly is commonplace. Comments? Thank you.

I grew up in a nuclear family away from extended relatives who were never really close. Parents were either emotionally unavailable or distant.
