Do you use chatGPT or claude? Honestly you can lean heavily on AI and that should at least make you decent at your job.
Get the hell out of that place. It is nepotistic and they are well understaffed. Go into a smaller firm that will appreciate you and always use Blue J and GPQ. One other suggestion would be find a job in private assistant controller or controller. Also get your CPA or EA as a minimum. There are thousands of jobs out there and you can possibly get help with linked in. Good Luck.
Since you’re in industry, take time to learn things. Spend a couple hours a week learning a topic, even if very high level. If you have an outside advisor, see if they have some webinars that you can attend.

And now you see the pitfall of frequent job hopping and why it is frowned upon in interviews. I immediately discount 10 years of experience when someone has had 5 jobs in that time.
One of the job was a new line of business and I was fired in 4 months. I didn’t list it on my resume. I did have one job that lasted 4 years.
