Currently a manager at T2 (LEK/OW/ATK) going to HSW with 5 YOE. If I recruit for MBB (not 100% certain but want to keep it as an option), is it pretty much guaranteed that I’ll be leveled down to consultant/associate, or is there room for negotiation?

Say I put $1k into a stock, it doubles, so now I have $2k, can I withdraw my initial investment of $1k without paying taxes or does this still create a taxable event? I’m concerned since I technically sold my initial shares for a profit but I didn’t sell for a gain above my initial investment.

Do I REALLY have to keep doing self assessments for the rest of my life, so that I can wait two months because of additional reviewers...so that finally hear if my assessment of myself was correct? Because I really don’t care about what I think. I just want to know if I’m either going to get promoted, my boss thinks I’m a rockstar and I’m on track to get promoted in a decent amount of time (even though NOBODY can answer that because they’re afraid of a lawsuit), or if I’m getting fired ASAP.

I have an interview for a LTC/Rehab Nurse Manager, Infection Preventionist position next week. My base salary is $40/hour as a charge nurse. With overtime I’ll be finishing the year about $15000 above my base pay. I have questions: first, I know I’ll be putting in at least the same number of hours I’m current working (50+/wk). How do I leverage that to avoid a pay cut. Also, any tips from people in this position?

Job base salary presented by HR during screening interview was $130-$145k. I have 3-5 years more experience and more education compared to the posting requirements (BA required, I have a MS). I love the position and what it entails, but was hoping to reach $150-$160 base salary. If offered the position, is this a reasonable ask? This is for big pharma, data analytics in New England.

I hate posting this, but I’m close to the point of desperation. After 2 decades of serving the community, our lil’ Imaging center closed it’s doors without notice, leaving me Unemployed. So I’m thinking of taking a pharmacy tech course at my local community college. I already work in healthcare on the admin side (authorizations, front desk etc) & looking to get a certification that’s quick & don’t have to go back to school. How is it being a tech in the hospital setting? What other paths are there for techs? How much can you make? Or are there any other short certifications that would make more money?

For doing all this they have not even clearly offered me a promotion, raise or a change in position. What should I do?
