So I've job-hopped pretty consistently over the past few years, mostly for better pay. Now I'm worried recruiters are going to think I'm unstable or not serious about staying somewhere. Is that actually how they see it?

I've done the same thing. It hasn't hampered my ability to find work. I'm sure it varies from recruiter to recruiter, but the ones I've worked with haven't made a big deal of it. It's the norm now as far as I can tell. If companies limited their searches to only include candidates who stayed 5+ years in every role, they'd have a hell of a time hiring.

Absolutely agree... I have been in a position where i had 5 jobs in last 3 years... Got to be in context

It really comes down to whether your story and your moves make sense. If your resume shows a pattern of moving on to better spots and perhaps picking up skills along the way, that's obviously helpful. If it looks like you bounced around in random fashion, that may not do you any favors.

I have had a lot of random short term contracts so as long as reasonable is genuine

For professionals transitioning into a new field later in their careers, what helps them stand out to recruiters the most? I recently earned my NYS Property & Casualty license and bring many years of sales and customer relationship experience, and I’m curious how hiring teams typically view candidates making this kind of transition.

I think context matters. If each move shows clear progression in responsibility or compensation, many recruiters see it as career growth rather than instability.

Hi Techies,

I have received an offer from Latoken. Everything is good, just have 2 concern points :

a) The salary will be paid in USDT which when converted will have 30% tax in India per the recent budget guideline.

b) Not coming from the tech background, so I am not sure about the underlying technology Latoken uses and its use case.

Can any tech guy, help me.understand and guide as to how should be my thought process and approach towards this offer ??

My dad who lives in Asia just announced that he had a medical issue. I’m starting to enter the age where I’m going to take care of him financially. It’s a $2,000 hospital bill which in the US is nothing compared to what it represents there (which he can’t afford). He’s going to be fine! Just wanted to share with this group as many of you can understand what it feels like to support your parents when they’re old, not the other way around. I feel so blessed I can help him. 🙏🏽
