Some days that second cup of coffee isn’t about the caffeine, it’s just emotional support at this point ☕😮‍💨
Like, am I alert now? Not really. But at least I feel like I’ve got my life together for five minutes.
Working full-time, juggling a million little things, dealing with people all day, sometimes it’s the small rituals that keep you going.

Anyone else treating their coffee like a personality trait lately?

I totally agree that little rituals are what hold us together. There are mornings when I'll be disrupted for some reason, and if my morning routine goes off the rails there's a good chance I'll feel uncomfortable or anxious for the rest of the day. It's one of those odd things where you know it doesn't totally make sense as it's happening, yet it's happening. Daily routines and little rituals really do keep us grounded.

Totally get this. It’s wild how something as small as a morning routine can set the tone for the whole day.

I made the switch to decaf later in the day, not that the caffeine wouldn’t be helpful, but I just like the routine of it and know I can go overboard if not careful.

That’s smart. Sometimes it’s not even about the caffeine, it’s just the comfort of the habit.

I've been doing this the entirety of my professional life. I have one cup in the morning on my way to work, then another after lunch to get me through the day. I honestly have no idea how I'd function without it.

Same here! That post-lunch cup hits different. At this point, coffee’s more of a coping mechanism than a drink.

Sometimes, the "coffee break" isn't about the coffee, it's about the break.

One place I worked, I swear everyone else smoked. When setting new stores, I would look up, and literally EVERYONE ELSE was outside. So, I started going out with them, because why should I be the only one working? ;)

like

Yes!! Honestly, sometimes you just need a reason to step away. If everyone else is out taking a break,I’m not about to be the only one grinding away inside.

Curious what anyone thinks about cologne? Is it a turn on? I am not really into it.. but I just got a whiff of this dude at the gym and the cologne did something to me 🥰 It was really subtle. I tend to just like the way a man smells (not body odor but just natural scent) and don’t usually like it covered up, but wow this guy tonight 🥵 I might might buy some but i figured it would be gay to ask him “what are you wearing” because that prob isn’t something the bros at the gym do.
