For no apparent reason, USDC leadership is taking this opportunity (suspiciously the day after the inauguration) to double-down on micromanaging their already-exploited and underpaid USDC resources by now issuing threats of being fired to anyone who lives more than 100 miles from the existing USDC locations (Mechanicsburg, PA; Lake Mary, FL; Gilbert, AZ) and geo-hub locations (idk all of them, tbh). Why they care where we work as long as we perform is a mystery, but they apparently don't want to miss a chance to micromanage us more than they already do.
I'd guess they are trying to encourage voluntary attrition by scaring those outside of that radius to an approved office.
But particularly for those in Florida, where there is no state income tax, I'm not sure what actual logical reason they could have.
My presumption is Deloitte gets some sort of tax break based upon having X number of people assigned to or within a certain physical radius for the Delivery Center offices (all 3 are younger buildings) as well as billing their time to those jurisdictions.
Charlotte and Atlanta either are just opened new offices or are in the process of opening new offices. Unsure about Dallas and Houston.
This is quite unfair.
When was this sent, by whom, and what is the title for the email?
I am expecting this due to change in administration and expected additional scrutiny of H1b holders and firm wants to be proactive to ensure they can justify location needs of H1b validity
I was at the lake Mary USDC last week and it was a ghost town , I’m assuming they need to justify the buildings.
Most of us don't work together, so there is no reason for any of us to waste time and energy and gas and miles on our vehicles to go to that office. And often when we do it's too loud, too bright, too cold, someone's always taking a call on speakerphone either in the open area of in a room with the door wide open... it's literally a waste to go and be less productive.

Who sent this email? I didnt get any such emails? Did they send to folks who are living 100miles away? From what I know the 100 mile rule is an LCA rule not deloitte specific rule!
