Rising Star
There was freelancer at the agency I was at who was living at the office (Manhattan) at night and on weekends He was there for a good 5 months until the weekend security crew caught him bathing at the sink on a Sunday morning.
Try doing that. 👍
Honestly freelancer pay and no rent for 5 months would probably give me enough money to not work for a year
Fort Greene is the only answer
Fort Greene/Clinton Hill. Some choice Bed Stuy even.
Best place for cheap rent and a calm relaxing vibe which is technically still Manhattan is Roosevelt Island. I moved here four months ago and absolutely love it. $3000 in rent for a large one bedroom Manhattan standards. Definitely check it out.
I’d go oil spill/polish people.
I personally love oil spill / polish people. But I’m older with a kid and a dog. It’s quieter here but still lively when you want it to be.
For us it’s great because there’s a ton of other kids/dogs around so it just fits our lifestyle. Getting around can be somewhat annoying because of the G but if you live closer to the L getting in and out of Manhattan isn’t hard.
Check out Great Greek Food.
