Oh, I had a great one recently! A customer called in with a complaint, but by the end of the call, we were laughing about the mix-up and they even thanked me for turning their day around. It was one of those moments where empathy and humor just made everything better.
Good for you!
It's nice to see that you turned it around for a customer and in return, for yourself.
A customer spilled their entire drink and looked so devastated, I made them a new one for free. Then they came back an hour later with a thank-you card. 🥰
I love this.
A couple of months back I was talking to a customer, they had just moved here. I said how funny, because we just moved here last summer. Started talking about where they moved from and it was only a couple hours away from where we used to be! Mind you, we are states away now! Such a small world.
I was person that usually clean the store. Anyway what happened next this costumer came up to me. I didn't understand him well. I struggled to understand him because he had this thick south accent. He was like is my accent hard to understand me. It took me a few minutes to understand him. He want to know where ice cream was. But I told him. I bet I have accent to him because I don't sound same as him. He was like yeah. I think I taught him something. He never thought of before.
One of the drunkest men I've ever seen came into the store Tuesday at all of 3:15 PM. Bloodshot eyes, stumbling everywhere, the whole nine yards. The thing that stood out was the fact that he was very well-dressed and must have had some sort of white collar job. I kept an eye on him as he was stumbling around just to make sure he didn't hurt himself or someone else. He walked the aisles aimlessly for 15 minutes, made it back to the front of the store and left without buying (or stealing) a thing. No idea how he ended up in that condition at our store, but it was pretty out of the ordinary.
Sounds like a wild shift lol. Glad he didn’t cause any trouble though 😄
