Stupid meme. The right just understands that half the world lives in poverty and shit conditions with corrupt leaders and police. This can’t be a reason for asylum/refugee status bc then half the world would be here and we can’t afford to take care of all those people. We support legal immigration where you come in through the process and not try to illegally just cross our boarders. While it would be great to help everyone we can’t. And the sad reality is if we allowed them all to just come here and make them citizens, the vast majority coming from South America won’t be able to get mean if I’m jobs even if citizens. Many won’t speak English or have education enough to do anything but manual labor and possible minimum wage jobs. If you just allowed them to come and be citizens the majority would instantly be in welfare and have to be supported. They already cause long waits at hospitals bc that becomes the doctors since they know they have to treat them. At school many of the kids would either fall behind because of lack of understanding English and tax payers have to pay more to have bilingual teachers to teach them specially. Again I feel bad but we already financially send money around the world we can’t afford to just let people come in as they wish. An alternative would be to go back to colonizing and taking over these countries and make them a territory and infuse investment directly so they don’t have to leave.

Technically that's not about legal citizenship. H1b don't always lead to naturalization process.
Though, we likely agree on this one. I'm not a fan of the restrictions on the number of Visa's. My understanding is the purpose to "save jobs" for US citizens due to pandemic, but it will likely lead to more offshoring having a larger negative impact for the US long term.
