Currently a SA at PwC In FDD. Thinking about accepting a position as a senior accountant at a PE firm. I am really excited about the position, great WLB, fully paid benefits, slight pay decrease from PwC FDD. Is this a bad career move? I want to be a controller someday, I think this opportunity will help me get there, and FDD is so unpredictable, hours are starting to get crazy and seems like it will just repetitive work.

If you asked to be considered for early promotion and didn’t get it (despite being highly rated, exceeding billable goal, etc) would you look elsewhere? Is it right to be angry about it? I don’t want to spin myself up unnecessarily if it’s unjustified

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice with regards to my next career step. Currently in audit and I have opportunities to go for a Valuations role or an FDD role (both big 4). What are the pros and cons of each? (hours and learning opps, not concerned about salary) Not looking to work long term in both and would likely want to transition into an FP&A role in the future. very Selective jobs( MF PE and BB IBs) kinda blow these numbers out of the water... but for the more attainable exits like MM IB and and corporate development... considering wlb and pay, is the grass much greener?
