Hi everyone!
I've been offered a job at Publicis Sapient as a front-end developer (React Js).
What kind of work culture, work load and tech stack exposure should I be expecting?
I'm having 1 year experience.
I've also got offers from IndiaMART InterMESH Limited, Amdocs, Verizon and Collegedunia.
All for the role of front-end web developer.
I'm very confused between all of them.

Cost of living is super expensive (lots of expats though!) but the income tax is very low... under 10%. They make up the money by taxing goods like cars ($75k tax on ANY new car), alcohol, cigarettes etc
What country you’re from OP? I’m gonna give you truth from my end. It totally depends on what country you’re from, and the name from your past agency, or if your works won awards or you ever won an award or not. 2 years is still considered as junior but these are totally depend on which agency you apply to. For your consideration, Freshgrad can earn the lowest of 2500/month, thus 2 years exp can start from S$3000/up, if you’re from USA/UK/France/Brazil/Australia- you can have better starting salary ad in $5000/month. I’m foreigner in SG feel free to ask me things lol
And cost of living is yes damn high, haha
That’s not bad! For Living cost in singapore, the housing is the most expensive one. And definitely can ask for > $5K per mo (depend on the agencies). But the tax is very damn low! Happy researching! All the best!
Random fact but true. It seems silly but coming from MAS really helps in SG especially when you’re junior ish. It really gets your foot in the door. Having foreign experience as well. I’m from MAS too so i have a pretty good hunch who you are lol honestly. Everyone saying the cost of living here is expensive is right but it isn’t as bad as it sounds. If you’ve ever worked in NY this is nothing new. Also if your previous salary paid 5k a month then be prepared for a pay cut if you want to make the move. Unless you’ve won grand prix recently. I highly doubt they will match your salary.
Maybe like 4-5k SGD a month.
Also one thing to think about if you’re coming from the US is global tax. You have to pay US taxes on what you make above 91kusd (I don’t know if that’s changed, but that’s the number I had in the past). Income tax is 12%
Gotcha. What’s a realistic number to ask with about 2 years of experience?
From India. Went to MAS, work ex solely in the US. About 7-8 student awards. Was getting $5k usd per month as a jr ad in Boston.
Hahha its $191,000k for USA double tax. $91k would be very cruel.
I doubt you’ll hit the 91k so you still have to file taxes but you don’t pay anything. I found a great apt there through Airbnb. Sg can be either really expensive or really cheap.
