Are other firms slow right now? Majority of our FDD group is unassigned. Not complaining, just curious.

Very busy rn… Maybe just because it’s MM

Ugh! In healthcare we are certainly not slow. I wish!

All my mega fund PE clients have effectively shut down new activity until after Labor Day. Smaller opportunistic stuff happening but much quieter than we’ve been running at since the Covid pause

like

The slow down currently is more macro interest rate environment driven than summer seasonality. Things sometimes quiet down a little in late summer (and more so if you work with more Europeans). Winter holidays can be a little slower, but also subject to getting pinched by the “need to get this done by end of year” mentality (and especially so in years with meaningful tax changes). Long way of saying there aren’t many dependable slow periods, enjoy the breaks when you get them.

August is typically the slowest month of the year. Also a lot of availability in our group

like

Relatively new to the group is this the case usually? I checkEd and a ton of higher up (SM’s and partners) people are on vacation right now

I wouldn’t say slow but this is normal. You are comparing this year to last year which had the highest M&A activity

like

Literally all of Europe is on vacation too a good chunk of our work comes from them

like

Pretty busy here.

MM Firm, handling 6 deals at the moment.

like

MM is still busy but multiple PE contacts up market told me they were taking the summer off from platform deals

So busy at pwc as well

Wanna help out on my team? I’ve been slammed for the whole summer and before..

Plenty of capacity, just ask staffing

funny

I think healthcare group is pretty busy but not for core..

Which industry group are you in? We are still busy

Tech

Healthcare is generally busier.

Still very busy here

Extremely busy

Can anyone suggest a base or generic career path for a marketing coordinator? I’m trying to make sure I define it not only fair with the market but my goals. I have 5+ experience in social media strategy, budget tracking, trade shows/conferences and now have intermediate experience in email marketing and MQL reporting. My long term goal is to be an Integrated Marketing Manager. Any suggestions and help are welcomed! Oh I’m also in the Tech space as well.

My sister & I don’t get along because i feel she is extremely rude & prefers outsiders over family. My parents however, despite the fact that she disrespects them too, always say she is our daughter & we have to deal with it so just let her be. My mom thinks she is not in a good financial state so we should help her & I don’t want to given her disgusting behavior. Every time i buy something nice for myself, my mom kind of pushes me to buy for her too, and I don’t want to. Continued..

I have joined Nagarro almost a year now as a senior architect. However, I see lot of issues here. The company is great so far as employee friendliness is concerned. It may be rated as the top most company in that regard and that is why attrition is well within control. However, there are issues:

1. Project Allocation - allocated to projects without fitment with the role or skills. No internal job portal

2. Lots of seniors in bench for long time

3. No way to give company feedback
