I ain’t reading all that but I’m happy for you and or sad that happened to you
Ah the smell of internalized capitalism in the morning
…but I wonder if all us competitive consultants took our skills to industry and there wasn’t an extra layer of monetization, and we practiced what we preached on cost cutting with company expenses and consolidated processes and procedures (we are bloat cost) and continuously improved companies at a reduced hourly rate internally, it would increase revenue and trickle down? I guess that breeds the question of true capitalism allowing it verses optimized economic models, but im wondering if everyone worked for companies and salary was based on non economic factors, would that produce more economic output and higher salaries?
I may be using this as a soundboard while I’m drunk so I’m happy it’s anonymous, but data has become more lucrative than oil. Data is concentrated between a few companies with more power than hs steel. I’m worried that the government is not giving competitive salaries, to the point they are reliant on the services of private companies and I’m also worried non large-cap companies follow suit. Not investing in hiring internally, rather outsourcing all key components of operation, technical engineering, and audit that all these gears are spinning at the appropriate speed and manner. I love what we do and hope and do my best to believe we help out, but fear tech/consulting has gutted the competitiveness of salaries within other companies, resulting in a reciprocal cycle of consultants and private advisory practices implementing 1-3 year solutions which are not effective. I love what we do so much and don’t see the full picture, but hope we help more so than hurt, it’s just difficult to see
It’s a cycle, someone has to buy Porsches, that pays workers, that buy food from supermarkets that need consultants to help them setup effectively and the circle goes on…
