This was my most stressful and busy week at my current job. I like my job overall but I am overwhelmed and exhausted. What are some tips to recover mentally and physically? I slept it late today and that’s helped already!

If you are tired, take some rest

Yes, definitely!

Maybe after resting you can take some you time- can go for a walk, read a book, cook a lovely meal, or if you thrive better with people and then see some friends or family !

Yes, I saw some friends this weekend and it was nice!

A big thing for me is making sure that I am enjoying my life outside of my job. When I feel like I'm literally existing and living just to work at a job that I hate, it's fairly miserable. But making sure that I'm prioritizing my hobbies, eating nutritious food, and spending time with loved ones really helps.

I would say some pampering like a facial or massage

Is it too late in our lives to jump into a mortgage?

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

Hi there! I work for a tech start-up and I've been tasked with revisiting their compensation philosophy and propose a better structure. I think this will also require me to revisit job titles, existing talent and tenure, performance, career paths, and the organizational structure. Any useful tips as I tackle this big undertaking?

Looking for advice: would you stay in partner pipeline at Big 4 or move to one of the MBBs as a principal? I am hearing that with Big 4 getting into strategy more, MBBs will be obsolete soon thoughts?

Hey all, I’ve recently joined EY consulting from another Big 4 and have noticed there’s no discipline (at least in my team) around codes and charging time. People either charge a standard 7 hrs or some will charge time spent on internal activities to their client code.

I was told that “the last person to charge their actual hours worked was promptly booted off the project”.
Just wondering:
1) Is this a general cultural point accross all Consulting teams? Will challengin this get me in trouble?
