Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

One positive is that it showcases Chicago in a positive way to a bunch of NASCAR-loving folks who likely don't think of us in a nice way.
That’s the idea. It’s a travesty we said no to the World Cup. Could’ve had the entire world come to see the city and spend their money here.
Both things are true
City needs money to pay all the lawsuits against the racist police force
Publicis 2 Forgive them for they know not what they say
I don't care about NASCAR. Nor do I spend much time downtown so I haven't been inconvenienced by the street closures. Though the closures have gotten shorter each of the three years of the race.
I DO care about the economic impact it has. Wanna get rid of it? Cool - what are you replacing it with?
Some people enjoy it some don’t. Let the folks who enjoy it have their moment. For the folks who despise it, it only last a few days. They’ll survive. I’m all for it. Haven’t gone but have fond memories of going to the Chicagoland track in Joliet with my dad as a child. Makes me happy that other kids get the chance to make some fun memories with a killer backdrop.
This is the last year of the street contract so it probably won’t return next year. Maybe a new city? Idk.

Weirdly more tasteful and endearing than lolla imo (low bar)
It is GREAT for Chicago’s economy. Brings in $$$. What’s not to like? Yeah, a bit of inconvenience. So what? I’d love to see a Grand Prix here. More $$$
Despite the rain, last year’s race was awesome. The street race format makes it way more appealing to a wider audience. I think the rain caused low attendance, but they must have sold a lot of tickets if they’re doing it again.
This may get some hate, but I miss Taste of Chicago around the 4th of July. I have such fond memories of meeting family and seeing all the live music. I’m totally for the tourism that NASCAR brings but it’s not really my jam personally.
