I need your advice. I got an offer to join Morgan Stanley in Canada and want to know what my salary range is there. I have 10 years of experience in investment banking and will be a 5 member family living there. Can i get 200k per year, please advise. Appreciate your help on this.

Hi all 🙂👋🏻 Apologies for such a late post. I have an offer of 18 CTC(1L joining bonus) from Larsen & Toubro Infotech & 12.5 fixed from IBM .
My joining in both are in around May last week. Tomorrow my IBM pre onboarding HR will connect with me. Should I ask for a counter offer tomorrow itself?
Or should I ask 2 weeks before joining?
Many told me that companies revise CTC when the joining date is near, else they show less interest. So should I go for it now itself?

Summing up the Pro’s and Con’s

Pro’s

1. Yearly hike starting from 10%. ( 1st year hike could be around 6%)
2. Work life balance
3. Large pool of paid leaves ( Around 44 days of paid leave)
4. Huge number of internal opportunities
5. Health insurance by company

Cons :

1. Business travels are mostly for management peoples
2. No benefits out of CTC like free food , free cab
3. No gifts for any festivals
4. Leaves cant be encashed and only 7 will get carry forward

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? Salaries have really been spiking. I am curious what the salary for a Principal/ Junior Partners would be in a mid-sized accounting firm now. In January I was approached for $200K for a senior manager role. Now a head hunter has approached me with $225K.
