Protest is a fundamental right. I had sympathy for a few days but blocking important connecting roads is a no no beyond a day or two. Adding jihadi elements to protest bjp govt in the guise of anti CAA protests was discovered a tad too late. There's no doubt that govt, afraid of Delhi media, tried to hide behind the court and the court has rightly called out the central govt on this cowardly act. Should have dispersed them within 5 days. Instead, allowed Delhi media, on the payroll of Congress, to spin a false narrative of Shaheen bagh dadi and what not. Total failure of bjp govt on this particular issue
Agreed. However, I would like to differ on one part. Anti-CAA protests were designed to be a veiled attack on the BJP from Day 1, just like every other fake protest organized by the secular syndicate. Addition of Guru fans was a consequential natural step.
BJP has been too evasive and passive on the syndicate lately. Had the BJP government been vigilant about their motives, Delhi wouldn't have seen the bloodshed and vandalism that followed.
Having said that, I consider only Anna Hazare type protests to be legitimate. Rest all are theatrics.

They had a right to protest and every citizen of the country does. The OROP protest lasted at least for a year if not more at Jantar Mantar, did they eventually achieve their goals, yes they did. Did they inconvenience their fellow citizen, NO.
Agreed. Protests should be for a genuine cause and goal, which I didn't see with Shaheen Bagh.
Democratic protests are always welcome but not the ones which end up in riots.
