I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

Good question.
Biggest goal of a team is to be aligned on a shared vision, mission and goals that can be measured. If you don't have one, build it together so everyone has a stake. This can be a good offsite exercise and the team who wrote "Org Design for Design Orgs" has a good framework for this.
Activities that promote play. Play in the sense of seeing solutions from different perspectives w/o rushing in. Building a hero's journey the Storybrand model can be fun. Something that everyone can build, share and refine together. Learning how to tell a brand story, or your own story, or just knowing how to be storyteller is invaluable. Other brainstorming around a gnarly challenge the company has is good, as long as it's loose. Use crazy eights or Peter Merholz Design Studio approach.
Lastly, but not leastly (that's a word right?) do a state of the union, give shoutouts to team members and be specific, have people walk others through a challenge they solved in talks loosely called "things I learned so you don't have to" and if you have a vision that's been cast, keep yourself honest and talk about it's progress.
No matter what, don't talk alot, give your the team the mic, and remember it's hard to schedule fun, so keep it light, and keep it human.
Virtual game night could be fun. There are a few ways of doing it like Jackbox TV with discord or Miboo.
Also, I’m a developer if you want to develop a cool system of could be fun for me. 😊
I’ve been looking for an agency like this! Let me know if you guys are hiring~
Can you all meet up at a giant Airbnb or equivalent or is that a recipe for disaster?
I’ve been thinking about that, but so many have kids and want to be home on nights and weekends. Some are single parents which makes being away for a night or two hard on them.
These are all great and much better than I was finding on the internet. This is my first remote gig so I appreciate all the advice. Please keep it coming!
Years back Crispin porter had a portal in their lobby. It would link the Florida and Colorado offices so you could go into the lobby of one and have a conversation with someone there. It would be cool to have something like that in your physical lobby or coffee shop that linked to people virtually who wanted to chat.
I'd love to have a lunch budget. Like 1-2 times a week where you can get together during the day at a restaurant with your team or just 1:1. For those that are further away, it'd be great if there was budget to bring them in once a month just for this. Doesn't have to be onsite, in fact it shouldn't be.
