Your best bet is probably to target in-house compliance roles.
And ... credit yourself with a fairly early realization that litigation is not for you. It certainly is not for everyone and have seen quite a few people wrestle with their jobs, not realizing that they really just do not like litigation. Advice above is good, and lots of other paths to a happy and successful law career.
Start looking now. It may take you a long time. Do a good job in your current place in the meantime and recognize you may have to take a multiple year class year cut if you want to stay in firm life.
Transition to bankruptcy. Market is active right now, and litigation experience has some value even in a bankruptcy group that’s more transactionally minded.
I agree with all the above. Also keep in mind claims management/settlement-negotiation roles many former litigators assume in the insurance and risk management industries.
