Seems like the demographics trends for 25-65 year olds will always lag that of 5-18 year olds.
Just a fact. Median age of teacher is 42. Country was more homogeneous 40 years ago. Not much you can do to change it.
Only one that really sticks out is the persistent gap for African-americans, whose share of the population has remained pretty stable.
Feels like race baiting
What’s your point? That we should have race based hiring quotas across teaching and maybe all occupations and force people to retire or not promote them based on race? Or maybe we should control degrees issued for teaching based on race? Wrong bowl for this kind of stuff. Try the politics bowl instead.

1. More should be done to attract diverse teachers across all levels.
2. Politics should be kept out of school boards
3. Early retirement can be used to bring in fresh blood and ideas to the education system
While I don’t believe in quotas or anything, questions should be asked why people of Color are under represented. While is ridiculous to expect to have a teacher the same race as yourself, asking for more diversity is warranted.
