Tips for negotiating offer letter received to keep me on after merger? They should anticipate negotiation from me but I’m worried my role is going to be essentially inserting another level between me and the GC than I currently have. I’m trying to think through what I’ve got for leverage which I think is a lot as I am the current head of my 2 departments. Their GC has indicated to me that he’d like to keep me on but I don’t have a letter with details yet.

Make sure your deal is at least as good as what you had previously.
