To be promoted to Manager at PwC, how much weight do snapshots carry? Do you need to have a substantial amount of “ready to be considered at the next level” reviews in order to be promoted?

I'm looking at applying to MBB (Preferably BCG) for a summer internship this summer. I'm a first-gen Oxbridge student, and while I have little experience in consulting along the lines of MBB, I did work in the city last summer as an sustainability consultant.

I'm curious how important it is to have a referral etc and what you'd recommend for applications opening in jan. Any advice is super appreciated I don't have any connections to the industry but it's something im interested in. 

What do you guys think about 3 piece suits? I think they look great, but I'm not sure if they are ok for our job...

I think KPMG has a pretty good training and onboarding process for new FDD hires (Lakehouse bootcamp, reading and training materials for review, and the shadow program). How’s onboarding and training looking like for PwC / EY / Deloitte?

Any significant differences in comp between the Big 4 FDD groups (specifically at senior level)? I’m hearing PWC pays the highest bonuses but not sure if there is any truth to that.

Does anyone have any experience or know of someone who went from FDD to PE operations (think Cerberus COAC). Would be great to hear any insights or thoughts on the jump and transition.
