I'm truly sorry for the loss of your colleague. I know you are saddened and likely angry, and I hope you and your coworkers can find peace.
Work-life balance is "important" to a company in the same way that "Safety First" is important, or benefits, or competitive compensation. The importance of these things is measured in whether people stay or leave. If a company could keep an employee with no benefits or pay, and have them around 24 hours a day, you'd better believe the company would do it. Like pay, benefits, and safety, it's ultimately up to the individual what they will accept in return for giving a large chunk of their existence to a company.

Unless you know for sure as a fact, it is incredibly disrespectful and callous for people to assume why someone does something like that. Specially when you are making a post online.
If you are saying that work culture at Uber is responsible for that - then it needs to be a news story and not a self centered post on social media. You should be reporting it. Only instance of it I can find was in 2017. You are claiming it’s a pattern. I don’t know if you understand this, but that is an extremely serious accusation. Your company admin may reach out to FB , so be prepared

This is not facebook. If they'll reach out to anyone, they'll reach out to the person who posted it in a WORK forum on SLACK. It could be a pattern, the only person in this list who I was close to quoted work stress as a factor in their note so it is at minimum a concern when they're reducing our therapy benefits and forcing people with mental health accommodations back into the office.
